Results of slicing up the large Andamooka opal piece

Thanks to all that commented and helped along the way with the decision of how to cut this opal. We decided take your advice and slice along the green colorbar in the middle for 3 to 4 nice double sided gem opals. Enjoy the video and let me know what you think in the comments below. The larger piece was sold to a good customer and friend before I could get to cutting it so we would have ended up with 5 gems all up.

Andamooka opal is a very hard type of opal from Australia and is found in seam form. It is rare to see large pieces like this anymore.
