Shipping and Insurance

Your opal is safely shipped in generic padded bags or boxes.

We use a combination of shippers according to where your opal is going as well as it’s value. All shipping methods are trackable and all items over AUD$800 (USD$600) are insured by us. When purchasing from us, please fill in as much detail as possible. We confirm all addresses through Google Maps just to be sure.

Custom, Duties and Taxes  Any charges associated with customs and duties are your responsibility. If you are unsure, please check with your relevant customs agents in your country. We provide suitable documentation on all items shipped internationally.

For your reference the Harmonised Tarriff Code for rough opal is 7103.10.1080 and the code for cut and polished opal is 7103.99.5080. When shipping to the USA, all rough and cut opal – not set in jewellery is subject to the United States and Australia Free Trade agreement and has no duty payable. There may however be other inspection fees levied. Please check with your local customs broker.

All Australian customers; GST is included in the listed price as per ATO regulations and a separate Tax Invoice can be issued to you if requested.

Here are all the ways we ship and estimated arrival times. Please note these are an estimation only!

For parcels being shipped to an Australian address.

Airmail: This service relates to Cerium Oxide and Bodytone scales only

Regular Service: Registered Mail
Your parcel will be shipped via Australia Post’s registered mail program and should reach you in 5-7 working days. All deliveries must be signed for.

Express Service: Platinum Express Post
Your parcel will be shipped via Australia Post. The Platinum service is trackable and in most cases it is an overnight service to a street or PO Box address. All deliveries must be signed for.

For parcels being shipped to an address outside Australia.

Regular Service: Registered Mail or Pack and Track
Your parcel will be shipped via registered mail or, if you live in New Zealand, United States or the United Kingdom, via Pack and Track.

Registered Mail: Please allow 10-15 working days for delivery. All deliveries must be signed for. A tracking number can be provided, however tracking is limited to country dispatch, arrival in destination country and final delivery to you. If you need your packaged tracked, please contact us.

Pack and Track: For all parcels to NZ, USA and UK. Please allow 10 working days for delivery. All parcels are provided with a tracking number and you can track your parcel online at OR enter the tracking number into your local postal system website (e.g. USPS or Royal Mail).  Parcels do not have to be signed for.

Express Service and all items over AU$800 or US$650: Federal Express Courier
Your parcel will be shipped via FedEx. This is a courier service and in most cases will arrive within 5-7 days. This service is fully trackable and you should receive an email directly from FedEx with the tracking number and status once the parcel is shipped. All items are insured for the value of the parcel and all deliveries must be signed for.
