We want to take a moment to thank you for your incredible support throughout the year. We’re beyond excited to show you what’s coming in 2025—it’s shaping up to be our biggest and best year yet!

Our wonderful BOD team continues to grow as we now have Saxon with us more permanently. He is learning the tricks of the trade as an opal cutter and when he is not cutting opal he is creating content with Justin for our YouTube and Social Channels. Also, most of you have seen our lovely Jane, who has taken on our Shipping Wizard Role (and Ruth’s right hand).

Here’s a refresher on the rest of the team!

• Justin: opal cutter extraordinaire, hand model and voice-over actor for our opal listing videos
• Ruth: chief wrangler of BOD’s motley crew and master jewelry designer, also, the new president of the Opal Association Of Australia
• Tamika: visual storyteller and Justin’s sidekick
• Kylie: customer experience manager and ray of sunshine in human form
• Hayley: product and design coordinator and complete all-rounder

2025 will start off with a bang. We are showing at the Tucson Gem Show starting Monday, Feb 3, from a new booth location (GJX Booth 714). This is a wholesale-only show; you will need trade credentials to enter. However, we will open up available appointment times closer to the show. These will be necessary for anyone wanting to see our inventory without trade credentials. Trade clients are also encouraged to book appointments to guarantee one-on-one time with us. We’re taking a well-deserved break this festive season! Our team will be offline from 4 pm on Thursday, December 19, and back to assist you from 8 am on Monday, January 6, 2025 (AEST). If you need some BOD-style entertainment while we are off drinking margaritas under the Australian sun, now is the time to catch up on our catalogue of YouTube videos — we may even publish some new ones! Watch here!
